OB Visit

My visit to the OB today went well. It took a while to hear the heartbeat but only because the baby was moving like crazy. Linda, the nurse at my Dr. Office, said it's okay that I've lost a little weight and that I'll probably gain 10 lbs in a month or two and make up for it. Boy am I excited for that! Not really. But a healthy little fetus is all I can ask for right now. I'll save my no stretch mark and easy labor prayers for a little later in the pregnancy. Here's a quote from this months visiting teaching message that I thought was great.
President Gordon B. Hinckley (1910–2008): “Our bodies are sacred. They were created in the image of God. They are marvelous, the crowning creation of Deity. No camera has ever matched the wonder of the human eye. No pump was ever built that could run so long and carry such heavy duty as the human heart. The ear and the brain constitute a miracle. … These, with others of our parts and organs, represent the divine, omnipotent genius of God” (“Be Ye Clean,” Ensign, May 1996, 48).
Isn't it great that we get to be a part of creating these little miracles? Do you ever think to yourself "How did my body make this?"

Finally not Sick

Oh my goodness! I've actually been not sick or draggy! For 3 or 4 weeks I had morning sickness every afternoon (I know I'm late on everything else, why not wait until the afternoon to get my "morning sickness"?) But now maybe I'm past that part. I have my 12 week appointment with my OB tomorrow. Hopefully all will go well with that.
Mom came and visited us yesterday while Dad did one of his interviews for his private investigations business. We had a good time visiting while watching the kids play in the pool. It's nice to have grownup talk every now and then. I don't get much grownup talk time with Julio because he has so much homework this quarter. Only 8 weeks until Julio graduates though, 7 weeks until his work has to be all complete. So it's a very short wait for him to finish and then hopefully he'll get a job really fast and we'll be rolling in the dough soon!(hahaha)

Every day Bubba has to play the "racing game" on the computer. If you look closely the car is upside down. That's because he only knows how to go forward and backward so as soon as he hits a curve that's what happens.
Here's Eliana playing one of her favorite games, pretending to be a puppy. She'll play fetch, beg for treats, bark and crawl around the whole house. I refuse to put her on a leash, though. I don't know where she got it but she loves playing pretend. If she's not a puppy she's a kitty, Spiderman, or a mom.

Tavian Naptime

Tavian manages to get himself into the strangest places for naptime. As you can see he emptied out his toy box, climbed in, and fell asleep face down on the floor. This one is from a couple of days ago but we also have pictures of him asleep while sitting up, asleep in his high chair, and asleep with his front half hanging off the bed. I don't know how he does it.

Late Night Lipgloss

Last night we put Eliana and Tavian to bed and then went to our room for some time together. A little while later we heard a noise and knew one of the kids was out of the bedroom. This is what we found. Eliana was in the bathroom with lipgloss all over her and none left in her lipgloss ring which had been full just moments earlier. She was staring at herself in the mirror. She just couldn't resist using it all I guess. I hope this isn't an indicator of how she'll put makeup on in high school. After the picture we wiped her clean and sent her back to bed.
